April 26, 2010

I bought some flowers yesterday too, so now we have some beauty in the garden as well. =)

April 25, 2010

We had a long walk with Ebba in the wonderful weather. Everywhere in the forest there are large spots with wood anemones, and they are so white and bright with the fresh green in the nature.

We did also shop for the garden, but I'll show that later when something starts to show.

We got some stuff left from the building of the wooden floor last year, so we decided to use it to build a couple of frames for growing vegetables in our garden.

Here they are, lined with plastic bags to keep the soil inside. The task of tomorrow is to buy the soil and seeds, and hopefully we'll have salad, chives, garlic, tomatoes, peas and cucumber during the summer.

April 23, 2010

It is so nice with Friday night, isn't it? Work-week done, and only relaxing left. =) We made a delicious fish-dinner, and then a cheese plate as dessert. After that we watched a movie and had one of these very tasty beers. Yum!

Have a nice weekend!

Linus attends children gymnastics once a week, and today the kids had a little show for parents and relatives to show what they do there.

They used a big sail and the kids just ran around in a circle with it at first. Then were some parents called up and had to wave the sail up and down while the kids sat under it. They really seemed to enjoy it!

A very proud Linus with his Bamse gymnastics badge.

Linus on the kitchen floor, coloring. He got felt tip pens for his birthday from my parents, and also some large papers to draw on.

April 11, 2010

First time at our summer house this spring. We met up with Daniels parents there and had a look so everything was ok after the long winter. The lake is mostly frozen still, but the water is high at the shores. This is what the ice looks like if you lift a piece up.

We had our friend over for dinner, and this was the entrée; shrimp cocktail.

April 6, 2010

A picture from a walk with Ebba to the bird lakes nearby. The weather was beautiful and the lakes filled with snow-melting water.

April 4, 2010

The wonderful weather continued, and we took a walk in the surrounding of our church in town. It is very beautiful there with the water, and these lovely easter daffodils were so bright in the sunshine.

April 3, 2010

After breakfast it was time to search for the easter egg. Linus got a card with a drawn picture of a place in the house, and when he found it there were another card leading to the next hint. After a little while he found the egg, filled with candy. Success!

Of course there were lots of real eggs too. Here are some that I colored for our dinner.

I'm changing the format a bit here, not counting the days anymore. I've decided to not stick to the one-picture-a-day anymore, but I will not stop posting photos completely. So hence I'll just date them instead, so I don't have to keep track of the numbers.

Friday morning we packed up the car and headed for my parents house. We arrived just in time for lunch, and afterwards we went for a walk, Linus on his new kick-bike that he got on his birthday.

Here are from left to right; Daniel, Ebba, my dad, my mother, my uncle and Linus.

She's getting a lot of white on her nose.

Day 91

Happy birthday Linus!!! =D 5 years old today.

And also it was last day at Kindergarden before Easter weekend, so all kids got to dress up if they wanted to. This is a Swedish tradition at Easter. Kids put on a scarf over their hair, maybe a skirt and apron, and color the cheeks red. Then they knock on the neighbors doors asking for candy. A little like Halloween, but with out the trick-part.

Day 90

We have bought a new tree for the cats. Their old one got broken, and they have really longed for something to put their claws into. When we showed it to Zelda she was almost overwhelmed with happiness. It was kind of fun to watch her; she clawed a little, purred, cuddled with the shelf, cuddled with us, purred a lot more and climbed another level. I've never seen her so happy.

Zoey just looked at it and then went into the kitchen to get her daily milk.
