Day 80

Our walk with Ebba today went to the bird lakes nearby. These are really beautiful in the summer, with lots of different birds, but it was rather busy now too with the ice slowly going away.

There were lots of mallards, like these two taking a rest on the ice, but also a grey heron, some Eurasian Coots and a swan. Ebba was thrilled with all the excitement. :)

  9. Well, what a coincidence, we saw some ducks today and while we were watching the female laid several eggs. I think their colors are so pretty--wonderful picture of them and the water. I like how their heads are tucked back.

  11. Gorgeous photo...and I bet that Ebba loves to be out there! I don't have a place close by to go and see these birds. I'm going to have to think of somewhere like this to go.
